Create or Update a Payment Plan (CBAPLAN)
Use the Payment Plan Creation form (CBAPLAN) to establish and maintain payment plans for persons owing money. You can set up a new payment plan or update an existing plan.
You can set up payment plans for specific parties within a case and include fees incurred over multiple cases. Cases can be on the same plan only if they use the same distribution method, because you cannot take a single payment (as a payment plan payment would be) on cases that have different distribution methods.
You can establish payments of a specific amount to be due on a weekly, monthly, semi-monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly payment schedule. Payment plan schedules are recalculated automatically by the system when the following occurs:
Payment plan fees are changed using the Case/Party Account Detail form (CBAACCD) or the Uniform Bail/Penalty Schedule Maintenance form (CBAUBPS).
A new fee is added on CBAACCD and associated with a payment plan number.
Payment plan payments are voided on the Void/Query/Reprint form (CBARCPT).
Bond is refunded to fees on the Bond Refund Maintenance form (CCABREF).
Payments taken on the Payment Entry form (CBAPAYM).
After you have created a payment plan and while it is still active, you can access it and change certain information. When you do, the system automatically recalculates the payment schedule to accommodate the changes.
