Copy Violations
Violations being copied may have Fine Assessment rules applied. If so, you see a warning informing you that bail must be calculated after the violation copy is complete. You can do so from the Calculate Bail tab on the Case Initiation Maintenance form (CMAINIT).
Select the Violation button to display violations for the case and party identified in the Copy From block. The following information displays for each violation:
Violation No (Number). This indicates the order of entry of the violation within all violations incurred by the party.
Code for the violation and its Description.
Date that the Violation occurred.
Enh (Enhancements). If checked, indicates enhancements exist on the violation. To view the enhancements, select Violation Enhancements in the navigation frame to display the Violation Enhancements window.
Enhancements are copied
along with the violation.
Indicate the violations to copy by selecting the Copy check box for the violation.
To copy the violation text, select the Copy Text check box for the violation.
If you copy the text, you automatically
copy the violation code.
To copy the probable cause code, select the Copy Cause check box. Select the Copy Text check box to also include the probable cause text.
Save to create a new record for each selected violation for the case ID and party in the Copy To block.
Maintenance code, disposition code, and
disposition date are not copied to the new violation record.
To return to the Copy From block to select another case and/or another party from which to copy a violation, select Previous from the Block menu after saving the current records.
To return to the Copy To block to enter a different case to copy to, select Previous from the Block menu again.
