Case ID and description

Unique series of letters and/or numbers identifying a case and its description.

For criminal or traffic cases, the person setting up your system may have established a default case description on the System Control form (COASYSC) consisting of a prefix and suffix. The suffix is the name of the person associated with the Default Defendant Party Type Code (also established on COASYSC). Based on how your system is set up, the suffix displays as either Last Name, First Name, Middle Name or First Name, Middle Name, Last Name. You can enter a different case description.
