Party Type

Code identifying a party's role in a case (for example, whether the party is a plaintiff or a defendant). The description displays in the unlabeled field to the right.

Security

The party's security level. 1 = lowest security; 9 = highest security. The security level defined for the party type on the Party Type Code Rules form (CTRPTYP) defaults into the field, but you can change it.

ID

Unique series of letters and/or numbers identifying the party.

Person, Organization

Indicates whether the party you are entering is a person or organization.

Last Name, First Name, Middle Name, Prefix, and Suffix

Allow you to enter name information for person parties, including prefixes (Mr., Ms., Dr.) and suffixes (Jr., M.D.). These fields display when you select the Person button.

Organization

Allows you to enter name information for non-person parties. This field displays when you select the Organization button.

Party Status

Status of the party on this case.

Status Date, Status Time

Date and time the status became effective for the party.

Address Type; Address

Category of address (business, mailing, home); street number and name or post office box number.

City, State/Prov (Province), Zip/PC

City, state, and ZIP code for the party.

County

County of residence for the party.

Confidential Address

Check to indicate that address information should be kept confidential. Informational only. Does not affect case security.

Image

If checked, indicates a content file is attached to the party record. The file can be any electronic file that can be maintained through your third party document management system (DMS).

Phone

Telephone number for the party.
