Party Type

Code identifying a party's role in a case (for example, whether the party is a plaintiff or a defendant). The party's name appears to the right of the code field.

Counts

Indicates the number of violations of the same type.

Citation Number

Citation number associated with the violation. Represents the actual ticket or citation issued by the law enforcement official. (Because multiple charges can appear on a violation and because different agencies may issue citations with the same numbers, this field is not unique.)

Viol No (Violation Number)

Number indicating the order in which the violation was filed. System-filled on Save.

Vio (Violation) Date, Violation Time

Date and time of the alleged violation. This can be a past or current date.

Violation, Description

Code identifying the alleged violation and its description.

Inchoate

Used with violation entry to further define the crime with which the defendant is charged. The user can choose from: A (Attempt); C (Conspiracy); S (Solicitation).

Vio (Violation) Level

Specifies severity of the violation, such as F3 for 3rd degree felony. The level is used when creating multiple events using Charge Rules (CTRCRUL). ACS Contexte schedules the events according to the most severe violation.

File Date, File Time

Date and time the violation was filed in your court. This cannot be a future date nor can it be before the case filing date.

Due Date

Date when a fine or fees are due or when an action should be taken by the associated party.

Dist. (Distribution) Agency

Agency that issued the citation.

Dist. (Distribution) Area

Area where the citation was issued.

City, County, State, ZIP

City, county, state, and ZIP code where the alleged violation occurred.

Auto Event Creation

Check to initiate automatic event creation for the violation entered.

DMV Tracking

Check to indicate that this violation should be flagged for reporting to the Department of Motor Vehicles. ACS Contexte does not use this feature in any of its built-in reports or queries; it simply acts as a flag.

Code indicating the probable cause for the charge. A description of the code appears to the right.
