Event Extensions

Events are assigned a number of days when they are scheduled. An event extension adds a number of days to an existing event so the system considers the new days as part of the original event. Extended events are not counted as new events. Use the Ext field on CSAEVNT to add event extensions. Event extensions are used with statistical reporting.

1. Enter the same Event code and Case ID used for the existing, previously scheduled event.

2. Check the Ext. box. This action either:

• populates the block with information for the existing event (except the schedule date, time, and days) or,

• displays a message if there are multiple events. Select Continue. A list of open events displays from which you can pick the event you need to extend.

3. Complete the remaining fields as usual.
