Use the Process DMS Transaction form (CEADMSQ) to complete the process of copying or moving content files when the copy or move is between the libraries of your third party document management system.

When you copy or move, it appears that the copy or move is complete. However, all that happens is the creation of a temporary link between the new host record and the original library location of the content file. When you process transactions on this form, the content files are actually copied or moved from their original library location to their new one. Of course, a file may be copied or moved to another host record within the same library. In this case, no other processing is necessary nor will any occur when you use this form.

Generate/DRAW3.gif  DMS transactions should be processed periodically so that content files will be in their correct locations.

To process DMS transactions

  1. Open the Process DMS Transactions form (CEADMSQ).

  2. Select Start Processing in the navigation frame. While a content file is being processed, it is locked. This is usually only a few seconds.

  3. When finished, Exit the Process DMS Transactions form (CEADMSQ).
