You can delete a link or a content file from ACS Contexte. If the content file you select has other content files attached to it, those files or the links to them will be deleted as well. In addition, you can delete all content files attached to a host record or all links to them by selecting the host record itself, then following the instructions below.

Generate/DRAW3.gif If you do not have access to one of the attached files, you will not be able to delete the host file.

To delete a link

  1. Select DMS Window in the navigation frame to open the DMS Window.

  2. Select the linked content file in the hierarchical list displayed in the DMS Window.

  3. Select DMS Delete in the navigation frame or click the Delete button on the DMS Window.

  4. A message tells you how many links will be deleted. Click OK to continue with the deletion or Cancel to stop it.

To delete all links and image associations from a host record

  1. Select DMS Window in the navigation frame to open the DMS Window.

  2. Select the host record in the hierarchical list displayed in the DMS Window.

  3. Select DMS Delete in the navigation frame or click the Delete button on the DMS Window.

  4. A message tells you how many links and images will be deleted. Select OK to continue with the deletions or Cancel to stop them.

Generate/DRAW3.gif Even though the content file association is deleted in ACS Contexte, the file itself still exists in your third party document management system.
