Automatic Event Deletion Process (CSPAEDP)
The Automatic Event Deletion process (CSPAEDP) allows you to delete events generated as a result of docket rules defined on the Action Item Rules form (CTRARUL).
Action Item Rules
can be defined for each court, location, and case type combination. For
more information, see the ACS Contexte Setup Manual.
The following explains how the Automatic Event Deletion process (CSPAEDP) deletes events:
On the Action Item Rules form (CTRARUL), establish an event that should occur when an initiating docket occurs and assigns the event a projected date. Also, establish a due docket making the event unnecessary if it occurs within the established number of days.
Enter the initiating docket, then run the Automatic Event Creation process (CSPAECP) to create the associated event.
When the due docket occurs, you must enter it on the Docket Association Entry form (CDADOCT) and associate it with the initiating docket as a resultant docket, which tells ACS Contexte that the docket results from the initiating docket.
If the due docket occurs before the event's projected date on Action Item Rules (CTRARUL), run Automatic Event Deletion (CSPAEDP) to delete the event created in step 2. Example
You can set CSPAEDP to run in the background as often as your jurisdiction wants, or you can run it manually on the Process Submission Control form (GJAPCTL). You can view the last date the process was run on the System Control form (COASYSC). For more about CSPAEDP and control and rule forms, see the ACS Contexte Setup Manual or the ACS Contexte Technical Reference Manual.
If the event associated with an action
item rule is scheduled, CSPAEDP cannot delete it. You can close an open
event scheduled by mistake by entering a closing docket code on the Event
Outcome form (CSAEOUT).
