Assign Status for Multiple Cases (CDAPSTS)

When the Assign Status for Multiple Cases window opens, the Party ID and name are displayed at the top of the window. The current date and time display in the Effective Date and Time fields, but you can change them.

1. Enter or select a Party Status. This code indicates the status you are assigning the party for the cases you select in the bottom area of the window.

2. From the Block menu, select Next. All cases with which this party is associated display in the bottom area of the window with the following information:

• Case ID and Description.

• Party Type. Code indicating the party's role in this case (for example, defendant).

• Party Seq Num (Sequence Number). This number indicates the order in which parties of the same type are entered on a case.

• Party Status. This field displays any existing status of the party on each case.

You can query on the Case ID, Party Type, and Party Status fields.

3. All cases are selected. Deselect the ones for which you don't want to update party status.

4. Save your changes and close the window.
