Update, Transfer, and Seal Cases (CDACASU)
Use the Case Information Update form (CDACASU) to modify case-related information such as case security and case weight, to transfer a case from one court and location to another (including any attached DMS content files), or to seal a case. Note that items changed on this form are not tracked by an auditing process. Any new information you enter overwrites existing information.
To update case information
Open the Case Information Update form (CDACASU).
Enter or search for the Case ID.
From the Block menu, select Next. ACS Contexte displays the following information for the case:
Description, Court Code, Location Code, and Case Type
Trial Type
Case Security: (1 for lowest; 9 for highest)
case Weight: (1 for least complex; 9 for most complex)
whether the case needs additional Tracking
ActiveArchive Lock if unchecked, this indicates the case is eligible for ActiveArchive processing. If checked, the case is ineligible.
eFile if unchecked, the case is active and updates may be sent to the efiling vendor. If checked, the case is disposed and updates should not be sent.

Change any of this information as necessary. If you need to modify the ID for the case or delete the case entirely, select Case Chg/Del (CDACDCA) in the navigation frame.
To seal or unseal the current case, select or deselect the Sealed check box, then enter any relevant notes about sealing or unsealing the case in the Reason field.
Depending on your sealed-level security, you may not be able
to view the case once it is sealed.
If you have ECI and you want to print a bar code label for the current case, select Bar Code in the navigation frame.
To change or view any case information entered for CaseStats reporting, select CaseStats Options in the navigation frame.
Save. If you see a Fee Transfer Alert, click here .
When finished, Exit the Case Information Update form (CDACASU).
