Copy Parties
Party associations are not copied to the new case record.
Exception: When the Copy
All selection is used, party associations are copied to the new case
record.
Select the Party button to display all parties for the case identified in the Copy From block. The following information displays for all the parties:
Party Type. Code for the role of the party in this case.
Party ID, Sec (Security) level, and Name of the party. The security level is represented by a number with 1 = lowest; 9 = highest.
Address Type code and the Address Seq (Sequence) number (order of entry of the address within that type).
End Date. If applicable, the date the party was removed from the case.
Indicate the parties to copy by selecting the Copy check box.
To copy the parties in a different order,
copy them individually, saving after each copy.
Save to create a new record for each selected party for the case ID in the Copy To block. You will see an alert asking if you want to copy party status history. Your choices are:
Yes: the current party status is copied. The history of any changes that existed for the party on the case being copied from is not copied.
If a party is copied to a case on
which the same party ID and party type exist, the original version of
the party status is kept.
No: the party status is not copied.
Cancel: no changes are made.
To return to the Copy From block to select another case and/or another party from which to copy, select Previous from the Block menu.
To return to the Copy To block to enter a different case to copy to, select Previous from the Block menu again.
