Calculate Bail (CMAINIT)
Use the Bail tab of the Case Initiation Maintenance form (CMAINIT) to calculate and display bail for the defendant on a case. Bail can be calculated only for defendants with undisposed violations. It can be calculated manually from this form at any time. More about bail calculation
To calculate bail
When you are entering a new case and move to the Bail tab, the system fills the tab with the following information for all defendants for whom violations were entered on the Violations tab.
Party Type. Code for defendant.
ID. ID of the defendant.
Driver's License #. Driver license number of the defendant represented by the ID.
Name. Name of the defendant represented by the ID.
For each defendant for whom you want to calculate bail:
Click the Select check box.
Select Calculate Bail in the navigation frame.
After bail calculation is complete, the system displays the Bail Amount.
The bail calculation process uses the
fee rules set up on the Uniform Bail/Penalty Schedule Rule form (CTRUBPS).
