Use the Vehicle sub-tab of the Traffic Detail tab (CMAINIT) to enter details about vehicles involved in traffic incidents.

  1. At the top of the Traffic Detail tab, enter the Party Type for whom you'll be entering vehicle details. The party's name appears in the unlabeled field to the right.

  2. Move to the Vehicle sub-tab.

  3. Enter or search for the license Plate Number. Search Considerations

  4. Enter or search for the State/Prov (Province) in which the vehicle was registered.

  5. Enter the date the license Plate was Issued and the date the Plate will be Expired.

  6. Enter or search for the Vehicle ID. Search Considerations

    7. This is an optional field. The vehicle ID can be the manufacturer's VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) or a number assigned for identification purposes by your court (either manually or automatically by the system), but it must already be entered in the system for you to enter it here.

  7. Enter the following descriptive information about the vehicle:

  8. Enter the Title Number, and if applicable, the End Date indicating the last date of ownership.

  9. Enter the Owner ID. The owner's name displays in the unlabeled field to the right.

  10. When you finish entering details about the vehicle, Save.

  11. To enter details about the incident, move to the Incident sub-tab of the Traffic Detail tab (CMAINIT).

  12. To access other forms to view additional information or perform additional tasks, select the appropriate option in the navigation frame.
