Create and Schedule Events Based on User-Defined Rules
Define rules to create the desired events. You have the options defined in the table below.
The rules listed below can
be defined by court, location, and case type. For
more information on the rule forms mentioned in the table below, see the
ACS Contexte Setup Manual.
On the following form . . . |

Event Rules (CTRERUL) |
When an event of another type is scheduled (for example, generate a hearing or trial when an arraignment is scheduled). |
Docket Rules (CTRDRUL) |
When a certain docket is entered. |
Violation Rules (CTRCRUL) |
When a certain violation is entered. |
Action Item Rules (CTRARUL) |
Within so many days when a certain docket is entered unless another docket of a certain type is entered in response. |
On the selected case, enter the event, docket, or violation that you've tied to a rule. Depending on the type of rule executed, the following occurs:
If the rule is an event rule defined on Event Rules (CTRERUL), ACS Contexte generates the event automatically on your case.
If the rule is a docket rule defined on Docket Rules (CTRDRUL) or Action Item Rules (CTRARUL), you must:
Run the Automatic Event Creation process (CSPAECP) on the Process Submission Control form (GJAPCTL).
Ready
the event on the Event Planning form
(CSAQSEV) if it has a projected date
later than the current date but you want to go ahead and schedule it.
If the rule is a violation rule defined on the Violation Rules form (CTRCRUL), you must ready the event on the Event Planning form (CSAQSEV) if it has a projected date later than the current date but you want to go ahead and schedule it.
Schedule the event using the Event Scheduling form (CSAEVNT) or by running the Automatic Scheduling process (CSPAUTO) on the Process Submission Control form (GJAPCTL).
