The Party Status feature allows your jurisdiction to record and maintain a history of a party's status. The person setting up your system can define codes for manually updating party status. In addition, a rule can be established associating  a party status code with one or more docket codes for automatic updating. Check with your supervisor to determine how your jurisdiction uses the Party Status feature.

Your jurisdiction can use ACS Contexte without using any part of the party status feature. If so, forms displaying a party status field do not show party status.

Generate/DRAW20.gif If an action you take causes a docket code to be changed, deleted, or added to a case or party, the party status may be affected.

How the party status feature works

  1. The person setting up your system creates party status codes on the Party Status Code Validation form (CTVPSTS).

  2. If your jurisdiction wants automatic party status updating, the person setting up your system associates the party status codes with docket codes on the Party Status Rule form (CTRPSTS) and enters a date range to indicate the period during which the rule is in effect.
