Change a Docket (CDACDDK)
Use the Docket Change/Delete form (CDACDDK) to change a docket on a case. Certain conditions can disqualify a docket from being changed. More About Disqualifying Conditions
Changing a docket code can cause case
and/or party status to be changed. More Information
Remember, unwanted consequences may occur when you delete a docket. For example, continued events or fees will not be created automatically. More About Consequences
If the docket code you are changing or deleting has automatic docket text established in the Automatic Docket Text Rule form (CTRADOC), changing the docket does not cause the rule to apply the automatic text.
To change a docket
Open the Docket Change/Delete form (CDACDDK).
Enter or search for a Case ID.
Select one of the following buttons depending on what you want to view:
Eligible Dockets: displays all dockets that can be changed or deleted. You can query to display only specified dockets.
Ineligible Dockets: displays all dockets that cannot be changed or deleted.
All Dockets: displays both eligible and ineligible dockets.
You can query from the Docket
and Filing Date fields to display only certain dockets.
Select the Change button.
Enter a new Docket code or select it from the list.
If a new docket should have fees attached,
you must create them manually. The system does
not automatically create the fees.
Enter the Reason for the change or choose one from the list.
Save. If there are content files (for example, text, picture, sound, or movie files) attached to the docket record being changed, you will see a message warning you of that. More information
The system asks you to confirm your request to change the records indicated in the Message area of this form. If you click:
Yes, a second window appears warning that this action cannot be reversed and asks if you want to continue. Select Yes to change all records noted in the Message area. To continue, you must enter the password you use to sign on to ACS Contexte;
No, all changes to the case and its associated records are canceled.
When you've finished, Exit the Docket Change/Delete form (CDACDDK).
