Delete a Docket (CDACDDK)
Use the Docket Change/Delete form (CDACDDK) to delete a docket from a case. Certain conditions can disqualify a docket from being deleted. More About Disqualifying Conditions
Deleting a docket code can cause case and/or
party status to change. More Information
Remember, unwanted consequences may occur when you delete a docket. For example, continued events or fees will not be created automatically. More About Consequences
A docket entry for a service document can
be deleted if the document has not been approved or printed. However,
the docket entry will still appear on the Service Document Tracking Maintenance
form (COADTRA).
To delete a docket
Open the Docket Change/Delete form (CDACDDK).
Enter or search for a Case ID.
Select one of the following radio buttons depending on what you want to view:
Eligible Dockets: displays all dockets that can be changed or deleted. You can query to display only specified dockets.
Ineligible Dockets: displays all dockets that cannot be changed or deleted.
All Dockets: displays both eligible and ineligible dockets.
You can query from the Docket and Filing
Date fields to display only certain dockets.
Select the Delete button. The (new) Docket field is disabled.
Enter the Reason for the deletion or choose it from the list.
Save. If there are content files (for example, text, picture, sound, or movie files) attached to the docket record being deleted, you will see a message warning you of that. More information
ACS Contexte asks you to confirm your request to delete the dockets indicated in the Message area of this form. If you click:
Yes, a second window appears warning that this action cannot be reversed and asks if you want to continue. Select Yes to delete all dockets noted in the Message window. To continue, you must enter the password you use to sign on to Contexte;
No, all deletions are canceled.
When you've finished, Exit the Docket Change/Delete form (CDACDDK).
