Enter Short Dockets (CMAINIT)
Use the Short Docket tab of the Case Initiation Maintenance form (CMAINIT) to:
Save default dockets.
Manually add dockets.
Associate parties with dockets.
Query on dockets.
Add content files (for example, text documents, pictures, sound files, or movies) to a new or existing docket record.
To enter dockets
Enter the Filing Date and Filing Time or accept the system default.
Enter a Docket code or select one from the list. For more about dockets codes that ACS Contexte assigns automatically when you file a certain type of case, click here.
If the entered docket code is associated
with a case status on the Case Status Rule form (CTRCSTS), case status
updates automatically. For more information about CTRCSTS, see the ACS
Contexte Setup Manual. To change status manually, use the Case Status
Maintenance form (CDACSTS), available from the navigation frame.
To associate the docket with a party, enter or search for the Party Type. Dockets associated with a party are not assigned to the case.
Depending on rules set up on the Party
Status Rule form (CTRPSTS), the docket code may update the status of the
party. For more information on CTRPSTS, see the ACS Contexte Setup
Manual.
To attach a content file to a new or existing docket entry:
Scan a text document or picture, or import any electronic file that can be maintained through your third party document management system, click here.
Add a text document or picture to an open batch for batch scanning and how to print a bar code label for the hard copy being scanned click here.
If the Image check box is selected for
an existing docket entry, it indicates one or more content files are attached.

To enter another docket, select Next or Insert from the Record menu. Repeat steps 1-3.
When finished entering dockets for the case, Save.
Contexte automatically assigns any fees associated with the dockets on the Docket Type/Fee Rules form (CTRFEES), provided you are set up to do accounting for the current court and location on the User Court/Location Validation form (CTVUCLN). Contexte also applies rules set on the Docket Work Flow Rules form (CTRDFLO) to open another form or QuickFlow. For more about rule forms, see the ACS Contexte Setup Manual.
To do additional processing for dockets
(for example, to associate dockets with certain persons for tracking purposes
or to enter disposition amounts or additional text), select Docket (CDADOCT)
in the navigation frame.
To access other forms to view additional information or perform additional tasks, scroll to the desired record. Select the appropriate option in the navigation frame.
