Creating a Letter Through Batch Processing (Letter Generation)
Letter Generation lets you create letters based on user-defined rules and print them using a batch process (meaning you can print several different types of letters at once). To use Letter Generation, your first step is to define the types of letters that your court needs. Then, you create a paper event for each letter and set up rules to generate the paper events on your cases based on certain circumstances.
Once you've completed the letter and event setup, ACS Contexte will generate paper events for your cases according to the rules you've defined. You just have to tell the system to print the associated letters.
The batch process that prints letters in
Letter Generation creates text files with limited formatting. Although
you can add some formatting to these files (such as paragraph and page
layout), you cannot control the font, add bold formatting, etc. If you
print to a PostScript printer, however, you can add PostScript formatting
commands to your letter templates (see the Define the Type of Letter
link below) for a wider range of formatting options.
