Use the Case Copy form (CDACCOP) to copy violations, dockets, and parties from one case to another.

To copy case information

  1. Open the Case Copy form (CDACCOP).

  2. Enter Copy To information:

    1. Enter or search for the Case ID to which to copy information.

    2. If applicable, enter or search for the Party to which to copy violation information.

    3. If you choose to enter a docket on the Copy To case, enter the Docket Filing Date.

    4. If applicable, enter or select a Docket Code for the Copy To case. The description appears to the right of the code.

    If the docket code has any rules or fees associated with it, the rules will apply and the fees will be added to the case when you save the docket code.

  3. From the Block menu, select Next.

  4. Enter Copy From information:

    1. Enter or search for the Case ID from which to copy information. If you want to copy violation information from one party to another on the same case, enter the same case ID as in the Copy To block.

    2. If applicable, enter or search for the Party from which to copy information.

  5. From the Block menu, select Next.

  6. Select the appropriate options:

Generate/DRAW24.gif The Violation button is available only in the Criminal, Traffic, and Juvenile systems, and then only if you have entered a party to copy to and from. If you entered the same case ID in both the Copy To and the Copy From blocks, only the Violation button is available.
