Only the current violation information displays on this tab. You can view a history of violation changes/deletions by selecting Violation History in the navigation frame. This option is enabled only if the case ID and party ID have changed or deleted violations.

Generate/DRAW22.gif If necessary, you can delete a violation on the Violation tab of the Related Disposition form (CMADISP).

  1. Click on the Violation tab of the Case Initiation Maintenance form (CMAINIT).

  2. Enter or search for a Party type.

  3. From the Block menu, select Next.

  4. To see all violations for the current party, select Execute from the File menu. To see only certain violations, enter criteria in any of the following fields and then execute your query:

  5. Scroll through the violations by using the Up or Down arrow keys.

  6. Change information as necessary in any of the fields except Viol No (Violation Number), Vio (Violation) Date and time,  Violation code, Inchoate, Vio Level, and violation File Date and time.

  7. If you need to change any of the above information (other than violation number), use the Related Disposition form (CMADISP).

  8. If you are updating information in the Dist. (Distribution) Agency or Dist. (Distribution) Area fields and a payment has been taken against a violation which utilizes a distribution rule, you receive an alert to void the existing receipt or the distribution may be incorrect. If you click OK, the field reverts to the original value.

  9. Until all receipts are voided, you continue to receive the alert if you try to update Dist. Agency or Dist. Area. To view and void existing receipts, select Receipt in the navigation frame to open the Receipt Information window.

  10. To change or view violation information entered for CaseStats reporting, select CaseStats Options in the navigation frame.

  11. Save.

  12. To change or dispose of enhancements to a violation, select Violation Enhancements in the navigation frame.
