Ad Hoc Imaging Overview
Ad hoc imaging allows you to scan or import content one piece at a time and attach it to a case, docket, person, or organization record. You are limited to scanning only text or graphic content, but you can import text, graphic, sound, or movie files.
Case, docket, person, or organization records
with attached content are known as "host records."
From any of the DMS-enabled maintenance forms listed below, select a record to which to attach a content file. If you see a Security Warning when you access one of the image-enabled forms, click here.
Case Initiation Maintenance (CMAINIT) allows you to associate content with cases, dockets, persons, or organizations.
Identification (CPAIDEN) allows you to associate content with persons or organizations.
Docket Association Entry (CDADOCT) allows you to associate content with dockets.
Open the DMS Window and select Insert to scan or import a content file.
After content has been scanned or imported and the DMS transactions processed, you can perform any of the following actions as long as your security level allows you to access the file:
At periodic intervals determined by your court, open the Process DMS Transaction form (CEADMSQ) to finalize copying or moving content files.
